Plumstead Children's Centre

This project comprised the design and construction of a new single storey children’s centre on a tight London infill site providing nursery and crèche facilities as well as teaching/ meeting rooms, office areas and extensive sensory gardens.

Sustainable
Numerous sustainable features were designed into the scheme including Solar hot water panels, green roofs and heat recovery units to maximise energy efficiency.  The scheme also incorporated extensive RC retaining walls to enable the formation of the sensory gardens.

The scheme included extensive mechanical and electrical installations including intruder alarm installation, electrically operated high level windows and air handling units to provide cooling.
