Cateham Youth Centre

This project for Surrey County Council involved the complete strip out of a redundant retail unit and the subsequent refurbishment and fit out to form a ‘drop in’ Youth Centre facility.

New lighting, air handling and air conditioning were installed throughout and the premises were made completely accessible for disabled users with lifts and toilet facilities included.  The facilities were provided from basement to ground floor levels and include a  reception area, play room, IT suite, social room, wash rooms and meeting rooms. 

Local students had input into the design of the scheme from concept, and also chose the name following a competition in the local school.
