Applewood, Chetwode Road

Applewood, Chetwode Road provides valuable
respite care for children with severe disabilities
in need of full time care. Hilife constructed a
new, single storey timber framed building to
provide living and daycare accommodation for
the staff and children following the demolition
and removal of the existing bungalow.

The project included specialist elements
including the fitting out of a state of the art
sensory room and high specification
bathrooms. The project, which incorporated
ground heat source pumps, solar panels and
water reclamation systems for WC’s and
garden irrigation, achieved a BREEAM
Excellent award.
