Cypress Children's Centre
The new Cypress Children's Centre is the first stage of the Cypress Infant School project. The build involved the refurbishment and extension of an existing nursery.
This nursery had an introverted and dark interior. The new scheme changesd the orientation of the building, creating a strong link with the surrounding woodlands. The typology of the existing pitch roof building sets the theme for the new build extension. The dramatic roof creates drama and this is further emphasized by strategic day lighting.
